Situated just across the causeway from Shepparton, Mooroopna has an identity all of its own. Known as the Fruit Salad City, Mooroopna is nestled amongst orchards familiar to the region.

Located between Mooroopna and Shepparton, Gemmills Swamp is a wildlife reserve that encompasses 170 hectares of Red Gum floodplain forest and Tall Spike Rush wetlands. It is not uncommon to see a breathtaking array of pelicans, ibis, swans, egrets and ducks habituating in and around Gemmills Swamp as it provides a unique and diverse environment.

Mooroopna offers an eclectic mix of dining establishments, retail stores and a golf course that will challenge even the best of players.  Live theatre and music feature at Riverlinks WestSide and you can immerse yourself in the town’s history and local exhibitions at the Mooroopna Museum.

The extensive bike and walking paths throughout Greater Shepparton extend to Mooroopna where you can experience the friendliness and hospitality Mooroopna has to offer.

Wander down to the Flats, a walk which will give you an insight into our local Aboriginal history and the story behind this community.
